History
Marine Corps Kids was born in 2007 and was comprised of hundreds of generous individuals from all over the country who chose to use their crafting skills to make gifts for the newborns of our military families. Despite our name, we provided gifts to families in all branches of the military.
Everyone was welcome to become a member of Marine Corps Kids. All that was required was a love for crafting and a desire to create gifts for the babies of our Service Men and Women. Individuals of all ages, long-time experts, first time crafters, senior centers, a girl scout troop, Hooks and Bars (a talented group of male inmates), an RV rec group, an elementary school, informal groups of friends and coworkers, and a mind-boggling number of amazing individuals give of their hearts, time and wallets. I would never have imagined how many people would chose to be involved, and how many families we were able to reach.
For over ten years, Marine Corps Kids was able to facilitate the delivery of thousands of hand crafted heirloom-quality items to military families.
To everyone who has touched my heart through their involvement with Marine Corps Kids, thank you.
It has been a unique honor and privileged to interact with so many talented and generous people.
